Visit bmo.com/activate

Open your browser and go to https://www.bmo.com/activate. This page is the official BMO card activation portal.

Sign In to BMO Online Banking

Click Sign In and enter your BMO online banking username and password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, complete that step.

Go to Card Management

From the account dashboard, navigate to My Accounts or Card Services. Find the card that needs activation.

Activate the Card

Click the card, then click Activate. Review the terms, confirm, and your card is ready for use immediately.

On the bmo.com sign-in page, click Register for Online Banking.

Enter Your Information

Provide your BMO card number, date of birth, and the last digits of your Social Insurance Number (SIN). This verifies your identity.

Create Your Login Credentials

Choose a username, password, and security questions. Make sure your password is strong and unique to BMO.

Confirm and Sign In

Review your details, submit the registration, and sign in. Now you can complete BMO credit card activation online or BMO debit card activation online.
